On behalf of a global financial services organization support the development of the Blackbird OMS (Order Management System) Application platform from requirement study to developing architecture for the application, development and deployment ??? Work closely with designer and engineers to implement software design ??? Communicate design decisions across organizations and support engineers working with API's ??? Provide background knowledge of applications to business analysts as subject matter expert ??? Deliver updated status, present blocking issues, and provided timelines to project managers ??? Coordinate discussions between technical teams to design and implement required functionality ??? Prioritize, estimate and plan releases based on urgency and available resource bandwidth ??? Support development and software quality assurance to ensure optimal progress and product stability for end users ??? Optimize application code to improve performance ??? Support Production and Non-Production environment queries and bugs
What we're looking for:
Minimum of a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of experience in the position offered or as a Software Developer or related occupation. At least five (5) years of required experience must include each of the following skills
??? Software development life cycle from requirement study, to developing architecture for the application, development and deployment ??? Java build tools, testing tools and Continuous Integration, including Maven, JUnit, JMockit, TeamCity, Git ??? Memory management and performance tuning in the Java application ??? Messaging middleware Solace and Tibco ??? Spring, Guice and H2k for depdency injection; and ??? Docker, Openshift and AWS cloud
