We are seeking a Compliance Contracts Manager - Heating to join our Property Services team and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of heating systems across our housing stock.
Main Purpose of Role:
As the Compliance Contracts Manager - Heating, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of heating compliance within our housing portfolio, encompassing both gas and non-gas heating systems. You will lead a dedicated team and work closely with external contractors to ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations, all while maintaining a proactive risk management approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to heating systems, including gas and carbon monoxide, solid fuel, oil, and underfloor heating.
- Program Development: Create and manage an effective program for heating system maintenance, monitoring, and improvement, continuously striving for excellence.
- Risk Management: Maintain a comprehensive risk assessment of heating systems and develop plans to mitigate risks, keeping the team and Homes up to date with all relevant regulations.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and review of policies in alignment with current legislation and quality assurance systems.
- Contractor Management: Client-manage heating contractors to ensure work is completed to the required standards and specifications.
- Budget Management: Review and manage budget expenditures, providing regular reports to the Head of Compliance.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional services, including legal compliance and property inspections.
- Water Hygiene: Manage statutory responsibilities related to water hygiene as detailed in the Homes' water hygiene policy.
- Ventilation Program: Develop and manage a planned program for ventilation servicing and repairs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant subject matter qualification.
- Educated to A-level/Degree standard or equivalent.
- Experience in managerial roles in a similar environment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to analyse complex problems and communicate solutions effectively.
- Proven track record of compliance and risk management.
- Innovative mindset to drive efficiency improvements.
