We're seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Financial Crimes Compliance Testing to join our Risk & Compliance team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL, and is a hybrid role (i.e., 3 days in the office).
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
With minimal guidance, assesses the design and effectiveness of Financial Crimes related controls that help confirm ongoing compliance with key laws, regulations and policies affecting BNY Mellon businesses.
Supports the development of the annual Financial Crimes Compliance Testing plan through analysis of Risk Assessment results and liaison with key stakeholders, including Business Compliance Officers and Money Laundering Reporting Officers.
Conducts testing in accordance with the annual testing plan and global Compliance Testing methodology on time and to a high standard
Drafts quality reports with clear, actionable findings and proactively support satisfactory resolution of issues raised on time, helping confirm the businesses are in compliance with regulatory, corporate policy and business-specific requirements.
Contributes to the preparation of time-sensitive reporting and appropriately escalates issues to more experienced professionals.
Contributes to the achievement of team objectives, including projects and program tasks intended to improve compliance and enhance the control environment.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
B achelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Business or Finance degree preferred.
5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
Financial Services, Audit, Compliance background and/or experience with financial services compliance and/or experience with the assigned products, services or business lines/areas and Financial Crimes related laws, regulations and rules of relevant regulators preferred.
Anti-Money Laundering and/or Sanctions Compliance Testing experience a plus.
