As a Barclays Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will be serving high priority regulatory requests via using SQL to mine data from Redshift. Additional responsibility include translating requests into requirements/documentation and ultimately an appropriate data extract or ETL solution. Other duties will be building out strategic solutions in AWS, alongside Tableau dashboards for the end users. You will also be part of the AWS Data engineering and analytics team, which create ETL pipelines within the AWS data.

What will you be doing?
??? Translating requirements into documentation/technical specs and ultimately into coded solutions, mainly via tactical solutions such as SQL extracts from redshift ??? Helping the development team build out of a formal ETL flow in AWS ??? Eliciting, validating and documenting regulatory requirements in either Business Requirement Documents or JIRA workflows ??? Supporting development of the test strategy; planning and testing cases working in conjunction with the business and development teams ??? Soliciting collaboration and engagement with SME population, particularly where support is low or challenging ??? Negotiating with senior stakeholders to get buy-in and proposed changes or recommendations ??? Considering the impact of their actions on key stakeholders, seeking to deliver a positive outcome for those involved ??? Providing analysis and resolutions to complex issues and propose innovative recommendations and solutions for implementations
What we're looking for:
??? Excellent data analytics skill set, inclusive of SQL, Python, and the like ??? Working knowledge regarding Data Visualisation tools such as QlikView, Tableau, and the like ??? Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GIT and Jenkins ??? Exceptional written and verbal communication including documentation. Highly numerate and analytical with excellent problem solving skills
Skills that will help you in the role:
??? Experience of handling urgent regulatory requests, going from requirements gathering through to delivery of the end solution ??? Experience of working with Risk data/Trading Data/Reference data (Instruments/Books/Client static data) in a Banking environment ??? Hands on experience in delivering applications/solutions on AWS, Azure, and the like ??? Knowledge & understanding of the main asset classes traded within an investment bank & associated static data, data warehousing, dimension modelling & architecture
