As a Barclays IPMDM Senior Developer you will be involved in all aspects of software delivery including analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing and handover to the production support team. Development work will incorporate a range of languages and technologies, with a particular focus on ETL technologies like Perl, Java and relational databases on Windows and Linux platforms. The role also requires providing level 3 support to the application support teams.

What will you be doing?
??? Developing code in line with the stories that have been agreed as part of the delivery team
??? Being actively engaged in providing solutions to the stories that have been submitted.
??? You will actively engage in the delivery process and collaborate with other delivery team members to makes sure that the focus is on business value delivery
??? Ensuring that all development is in line with Barclays & IPMDM Standards
??? Providing L3 Support as and when required across all applications
??? Applying design & system architecture skills to ensure continual improvements in performance and stability of core Instrument and Price systems
What we're looking for:
??? Bachelors or master degree, preferable in Computer systems
??? Excellent Perl/shell experience. Ideal candidate must have solid ETL feeds development background
??? Excellent query writing and SQL skills primarily around Relational databases (MS SQL Server and Oracle DB)
??? Good experience on .Net or Core Java background with hands-on experience on complex systems.
Skills that will help you in the role:
??? Ideally will be good at learning new technologies as required, with significant experience in developing ETL feeds
??? Experience of working in an Investment bank
??? Reference Data domain (Products & Prices) knowledge is highly desirable
??? Experience with Reference Data third party applications like Asset Control, Golden Source, EDM etc.
