The Trustee Services Product Manager is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in the Hong Kong investment funds market and adapts them for application within own job and the business. This role sits in front office, and so strong commercial awareness is required. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally. External communication is required to engage in new client pitches, manage existing client relationships and act as Citi representative with local regulators. Required to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge. Opportunity to learn a new financial services area and develop technical knowledge whilst using client facing skills.
Responsibilities:
Product
Work in the product development and management of the Hong Kong Trustee Services and China Fiduciary Services product offering
Work with Global Trustee Services team to ensure a consistent global service and product offering is delivered in Hong Kong
Ownership of fiduciary issues/requests/opportunities/projects raised by book of clients or internally by the coverage team, such as the creation and implementation of any new or additional funds, sub-funds, liquidations/terminations, compliance questions on investment strategy/products permissible etc.
Advise and make decisions on issues relating to the Hong Kong Trustee Services in conjunction with Team Manager and internal stakeholders
Client Franchise
Work with Sales, Client Executive and other Product partners on RFP's for new mandates
Build strong client relationships and act as the Product Manager contact point for Hong Kong Trustee Services a book of fund clients and their functionaries for all Trustee and fiduciary related matters
Internal Stakeholder Management
Participate in country Fiduciary Oversight meetings and legal vehicle board meetings
Maintain good relationship with internal stakeholders e.g. Operations & Technology, Legal & Compliance, Risk etc. to deliver best in class service whilst maintaining Citi's risk profile
Work closely with country and regional teams with regards to market advocacy initiatives
Regulatory & Risk & Control Management
Co-ordinate with Securities & Futures Commission, the Mandatory Provident Fund Authority and other professional fund bodies as required
Assist in ensuring all fiduciary activities are carried out in accordance with local regulatory requirements and in line with internal policies and guidelines
Assist in the maintenance and development of Product procedures manual and provide guidance on implementation of any new procedures both in front office and back office
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in financial services or banking product management, regulation, legal, audit, compliance or operations
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree
