Title: Risk Associate/VP- SIMM

Location- New York City

Comp- $130-180k Base

An International Financial Services Firm is looking to bring on an Associate or VP to their Trading Risk Management team focusing on SIMM models. They are looking for an Associate or VP skilled in SIMM models, and will be responsible for performing analysis and submitting back-testing, bench-marking, and risk-not-in-SIMM reports, and responding and submitting all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Must be able to respond to and submit all regulatory requirements promptly and always ensure compliance with US regulations and internal policies. Immediately escalate to senior management in case issues with any regulatory deliverables
• Actively participate in CFTC/NFA examinations, internal audits (CAS), external reviews (KPMG) and Model Validation (MV) on Market Risk, Product Control and Initial Margin (SIMM)
• Perform analysis and submit Back-testing, Bench-marking and Risk-Not-In-SIMM reports to Model Validation Group, NFA/CFTC and European regulators
• Read applicable regulatory rules (e.g. CFTC final rules), translate this to business context and ensure compliance with external rules and internal policies
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and implement tactical tools (in Excel or Python) to mitigate situations of non-compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics or other relevant field of study
• 3-7+ years of relevant working experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and VBA (Python and SQL is highly recommended)
• Strong market risk / credit risk knowledge, (knowledge on US regulation is a plus)
