In Asia Citi Global Wealth, combines the Citi Private Bank and the Consumer Wealth organization, including the International Personal Bank, into a single platform to serve our clients. CGW Asia is a top three wealth manager in the region with over US$300B in clients AUMs and is looking to add in excess of US$150B AUMs by 2025 and further extend our leadership position in Asia.
Reporting to the Hong Kong Consumer Business Manager, this role will be responsible for the business strategies, financial performance and operating efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: - Drive the International Personal Banking (IPB) business opportunities in Hong Kong, specifically the acquisition of IPB and mainland China clients through various networks and engagement activities
- Responsible for devising HK Consumer Bank strategy, developing performance scorecard and driving execution on key business priorities
- Evaluate competition, market and program performance to gauge new program opportunities, assess customer impacts and make recommendations to enhance current programs and improve result
- Partner closely with Business Heads and Finance teams in the strategic and financial planning process, with direct ownership of expense management and resources allocation
- Lead strategic initiatives across franchise to drive business opportunities and efficiencies, including expense management, resources planning, One Citi, simplification, pan-consumer bank partnerships
- Lead cultural transformation talent and diversity agenda to drive a foundation ready for future growth, collaboration and strong governance
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy.
Qualifications: - 15+ years' experience in a financial services role, with a good understanding of the business environment in IPB and offshore banking.
- 10+ years of experience in managing a large team
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology
- Demonstrates clear understanding of the drivers of performance and decision making to maximize results. Strategic thinker with proven ability to operationalize the strategy
- Robust problem-solving skills
- Good communication and influencing skills. Able to articulate presentations clearly to senior leaders.
- Proven ability to lead and direct a team of knowledge professionals
Education: - Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
