Job Summary :
This is an Assistant Vice President (AVP) role within the Markets Operations Organisation. This is a great opportunity to join a high performing, high profile and energized team providing daily support to our Traders and Clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Futures Operations team in Singapore which is responsible for monitoring and meeting margin calls from Exchanges throughout the APAC region. The team is responsible for ensuring that adequate funds are available for meeting these calls and that the instructions are issued within the deadlines enforced by the Exchanges.
The team also oversees our Team in India in the completion of reconciliations from the Banks books and Records to balances at the Exchanges, Brokers and Inter Company Affiliates.
You will play a pivotal part in helping to support the lifecycle of a trade. Working closely with Business partners, Client's, and internal stakeholders to ensure all transactions flow through our front to back Operations teams, with no issues.
You will develop a broad and detailed understanding of the Organization's landscape, culture, processes, and Technology.
You will have the opportunity to recommend creative suggestions on how to improve processes to minimize losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risk better serve our Clients
Risk Management:
- Overseeing and executing critical core operations activities to maintain a culture and environment where processes, risks and controls are continually monitored, and potential risks escalated on a timely basis
- Facilitating risk close out for market transactions, as an invested Operations partner and advisor for the Organisation.
- Daily Collaboration across Global Clients, Trading, and Operations teams to provide solutions and identify/resolve root cause.
- Acting as key point of contact for the team across internal and external stakeholders
- Identifying trends, synergies and weaknesses across products and regions
- Recommending control enhancements as needed

Job Description:
- Daily monitoring and processing of margin calls on the Futures business
- Management of Funding requirements
- Oversight of Balance Sheet accounts pertaining to the APAC Futures business
- Liaison with Finance regarding applicability and validity of monthly Adjustments
- Execution of collateral asset movements
- Ensure adherence to key processes and control requirement at all times
- Manage the investigation and resolution of breaks with Exchanges, Brokers and Affiliates
- Improvement of daily processing to increase efficiency
- Ensure Standard Operating procedures are up to date and cover all functions
In addition to the BAU, the role will involve collaborating with our Business stakeholders, Technology and other Departments on many projects in order to support the Futures Business in the region and globally.
Job Skills/Qualifications :
- Exposure/understanding of Futures is must requirement.
- Experience of using APAC Futures Exchanges margin portals would be beneficial
- Ability to learn quickly on the job and work to high levels of accuracy
- Ability to understand current process and suggest efficiency improvements and where robotics might be used
- Be able to work independently and able to deliver under time constraints
- Ability to identify possible risk and escalate when necessary
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize workload to meet various settlement cut off times.
- Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours when necessary, meeting workloads.
- Effective Team player with ability to develop junior and supervise their daily workload.
- PC literate. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
