Role: Compliance Control Room Officer

Location: Amsterdam

Reporting To: Group CCO, Amsterdam

A renowned asset management firm in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced compliance control room officer to become responsible for supporting the compliance department - strategic and stakeholder management responsibilities and implementing effective compliance risk management processes. The Candidate:

* You have an academic degree or HBO; recognized compliance risk management accreditation is desirable

* You have 2-3 years of experience in a compliance related role, preferably within the financial sector

* Fluency in both English and Dutch

* You can translate theory into practice, are analytically strong and you can prepare solution proposals

* Analytical and problem-solving skills

* You have the skills and abilities to be able to connect with your colleagues within the compliance department as well as with colleagues of other departments

The Role:

* Control of the central compliance inbox and replying to mails

* Examining employee gifts/invitations and recording review findings

* Monitor private investment transactions and recording the review findings

* Providing content analysis for second line monitoring deep dives/first line compliance topic projects

* Evaluating outside positions requests and recording the review findings

* Maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the list of trading restrictions

* Evaluating waivers on post trade market abuse and sanctions alerts

* Defining process improvements and putting them into practice as needed
