Overview:
The Risk division has the fundamental responsibility to protect the Bank. With group-wide responsibility for the management and control of credit, market, operational and reputational risks, we have a unique vantage point, which allows us a holistic view of our businesses and our clients. Nearly 4,000 employees work together to achieve our ambition to be an industry-leading risk management organization.
Our Risk Methodology (RM) department develops Deutsche Bank's risk valuation methodologies and provides risk managers with a variety of quantitative tools, used e.g. to allocate capital, manage risk appetite and make well-judged credit decisions. Within Risk Methodology, our Credit Risk Methodology team covers the development of credit loss-projection models, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting standards. The mathematical concepts developed by the team are typically designed for application to different use cases and legal entities across the Firm.

Your Key Responsibilities: - Complex statistical analyses as part of quantitative credit risk methodology development projects, e.g. related to DB's IFRS9 and CECL framework
- Development of PD and LGD projection models for DB's group-wide stress test, EBA stress tests and CCAR (Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review)
- Data processing, including aggregation of information from various data sources, and extensive use of advanced numerical methods
- Documentation of new models and model changes, including e.g. detailed descriptions of mathematical assumptions, sensitivity analyses and benchmarking analyses
- Relationship management, i.e. building relationships with key stakeholders and business associates across various departments of the Bank
Your Skills and Experience: - Graduate or post-graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics, statistics, physics, econometrics, quantitative finance) and relevant industry experience (i.e. quantitative risk modeling)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems efficiently and proactively
- Experience with programming languages and modeling software (e.g. Python, Matlab, or R, etc.)
- Process and project management skills, with the ability to execute against tight deadlines and remain agile to evolving requirements
- Strong communication and presentation skills
