Role Summary The Technical Delivery Manager is a technology leader in the project team, responsible for the quality delivery of all development and environment setup. This role leads both the DevOps and Cloud streams, providing leadership guidance and oversight to the multi-location development teams, and the CloudOps and design team. This is a cross-functional role, requiring co-ordination with different teams in the firm and the project. This includes e.g. working with Architects on design, Security and Compliance to manage technology risks, Product Owners/Business Analysts to manage requirements and priorities, and IT Services on technology provision. This role also has responsibility for the management of project technology resources - team members and technical resources (e.g. licenses, cloud resources and costs). This role also requires an Agile evangelist, as there are different levels of Agile maturity within the team. This person needs to drive the Agile framework, uniting the team in shared goals and methodologies, to deliver quality to the business. Responsibilities DevOps -Understanding awareness and experience in delivering holistic solutions that include people, process, technology and policy components -Scrum of Scrum Master, having oversight of the multi-disciplined and multi-location development teams. Provide leadership guidance to the team -Drive sprint development through scrum ceremonies -Manage and prioritise scope of sprints with Product Owner and Business Analysts, and with the development teams. Plan sprints goals and schedules, against target milestones. -Implement best-practice tools and processes to ensure clearly defined plans are communicated to stakeholders -Sound knowledge of enterprise solutions within different IT architecture layers -Manage technical resources. Plan and manage IT team members as required for the sprints -Coordinate the development of the front-end, backend and the development of microservices -Identify issues and risks, and help the team manage and mitigate -Management of key application vendors ensure SLAs and contractual obligations are met -Ability to present and have technical and business discussions at the senior level of customer organisations Cloud -Stream lead for the Cloud team, providing leadership and guidance for the development and support of our cloud environments (including lower environments and production) -Work with the Solution Architect and Cloud Architect to implement their design with the CloudOps team, into the cloud and network setup/configuration -Work with IT Services, to integrate Cloud to on-premise resources -Manage cloud resources and costs. This includes managing team members and cloud assets -Manage planned and unplanned changes, manage risks to ensure quality and continuous improvement on our cloud platform -Management of key cloud vendors, to ensure SLAs are met, costs under controls and look for continuous platform improvement opportunities Requirements -Passionate about the use of technology to fulfil business visions -Possess a "team-first" mentality -Flexible to adapt to different needs that will arise in the project -Team player. This role requires co-ordination and bridge building with the many different teams, to ensure a united vision and way of working -Exceptional analytical, logical thinking and detail orientation -Ability to evaluate design alternatives for technical feasibility and provide recommendations to development teams and business partners -Ability to identify problems, mediate issues, develop solutions, and implement appropriate courses of action -Ability to provide technical consultation on complex projects and to be the top-level contributor -High proficiency in written and spoken English. As our key stakeholders are in China and India, proficiency in a second language will be welcomed -We celebrate diversity, and we have a multi-cultural, background and locations team Qualifications and experience -Highly proficient in the use of Jira and Confluence to manage the scope, schedule and delivery of sprints and overall project -Bachelors or Master's Degree in a related Computing or IT field of study -At least 2 years of hands-on Scrum Master experience, managing sprints and ceremonies, 5 years of experience in IT industry and 5 years of experience in Financial Services
