Department Profile Bank Resource Management (BRM) is a division within the Institutional Securities Group (ISG) that is responsible for secured funding, collateral management, margin optimization, CCP relationship management and managing capital / balance sheet across ISG.
Description of BRM Firm Funding Strategy Firm Financing is a dedicated business area within BRM responsible for overseeing Firm-wide secured funding, collateral management, optimization, and trading globally. Our team is looking for an Associate, with responsibilities of overseeing strategic initiatives and analytics.
Key responsibilities of the role include: ??? Contributing to the formulation of Firm Funding strategy, goals, and performance metrics. ??? Leading strategic projects to enhance booking models and resource efficiency. ??? Coordinating analysis across all ISG businesses to support optimization efforts. ??? Producing presentations for senior management. ??? Assist in preparing for and presenting at regulatory meetings. ??? Support Firm Funding in preparing for regulatory changes.
The successful candidate will be based in New York and will be responsible for managing global projects, analyzing large data sets, and summarizing complex topics in presentations for senior management. They will partner with BRM globally, Sales and Trading, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Finance.
??? Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication with strong inter-personal skills. ??? Ability to set, track, achieve, and report on short/long term strategic initiatives. ??? Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work in dynamic environment. ??? Organized, detail-oriented, willing to assist other members of the team. ??? Strong presentation skills. ??? An understanding of key regulatory requirements across financing markets. ??? Proficient in PPT, Excel and Bloomberg ??? Python skills preferred
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
