SCOPE OF ROLE:
We are seeking a detailed-oriented individual to oversee Rayonier’s SEC reporting and Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis department. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong desire to learn and excel at solving problems. This individual will prepare, examine, and interpret complex financial data and clearly communicate findings to internal and external users. This individual will facilitate cross-team collaboration with Legal, Investor Relations, Operational Controllers and General Ledger to manage consolidated deadlines and ensure accuracy of materials as well as proper execution of GAAP accounting.

HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED:
Serve as a mentor and play an active role in the development of the financial reporting team (SEC Reporting & Financial Planning and Analysis), ensuring they develop the necessary skills and provide guidance to help them develop their careers.
Assess department responsibilities for priority and allocate resources accordingly.
Seek to understand our business and share your viewpoints, ideas and findings to create better outcomes for Rayonier.
Take ownership of the financial reporting timelines and demonstrate a commitment to providing timely, accurate and complete information for internal and external stakeholders.
Work alongside the financial reporting team to understand their scope of responsibilities, perspectives, and expectations.
Capitalize on technological opportunities that provide efficient and accurate accounting solutions.
Communicate complex information effectively and field challenging questions with ease.
WHAT IS REQUIRED:
10+ years of experience of progressive accounting experience with significant financial reporting and financial planning and analysis responsibilities.
Certified Public Accountant and undergraduate accounting degree required. Graduate degree preferred.
Must possess a superior capacity to convey personal trust and credibility and exercise good judgment.
Demonstrated experience leading a high performing team of professional accountants.
Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Must effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization as well as external auditors.
Must be a team player with the ability to effectively manage multiple functions in a busy environment.
Must demonstrate strong time management skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
