The Pension and Retirement Plans Clerical Assistant will be focused primarily on work related to the NWP Post-Retirement Benefits program, serving as a resource for the Northwest Permanente retirees. This position provides a wide variety of project and department support toward the process and function of NWP Post-Retirement Benefits program. Daily duties may include customer service, entering and tracking data, tracking and uploading required documents, processing payments, processing reimbursements, and other Post-Retirement Benefit Program plan administration.
This is a hybrid position that is a blend of working both remotely and in office. Must reside in the Northwest Service Region (Oregon or Washington).

Major Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Post-Retirement Benefit program activities:
Customer service duties via phone, email and postal mail
Preparing, mailing and tracking cost statements to retirees through postal mail
Processing and tracking retiree check payments for retiree medical, entering data, and tracking with accuracy
Processing and tracking retiree check reimbursement requests and all required documentation through KP Accounts Payable
Processing retiree ACH reimbursement requests and all required documentation through NWP Accounting
Data entry for payments received and reimbursements paid
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related role
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum one (1) year general office experience
Experience with computers, copiers and scanners
Experience with filing systems and filing documents
Must have knowledge of advanced Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
Analytical skills with attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
Extensive knowledge of HRIS systems/benefit tracking systems
Self-motivated and proactive
Demonstrates ability to manage confidential data with high level of integrity
Ability to multitask effectively
Ability to prioritize and work independently
Physicial Requirements and Work Environment
This job is performed in a combination of remote and normal office environments
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on a telephone
Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine, printer, or calculator
Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications
Minimum four (4) years in pension, benefits, or payroll
Experience in pension or benefit administration
Experience with Ultimate Software
