About our client
A leading sovereign wealth fund, based in the Middle East, is looking for an investment specialist to join their investment evaluation department. This role is focused on critically assessing investment proposals across private equity and infrastructure, globally - across Europe, the Americas and Asia. The role is based in Abu Dhabi full-time.
What the job involves
Our client is a prestigious sovereign wealth fund based in Abu Dhabi, with an outstanding track record in private equity transactions globally. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced corporate finance/investment banking/private equity professional to join their growing and highly successful team based in Abu Dhabi.

The role will focus on assessing investment proposals from the private equity and infrastructure investment teams, advising the investment committee on investment decisions and governance issues and top-down portfolio analysis. This team assesses private equity direct and co-investments, as well as fund investments, on an international basis.
  • Review and assess private equity and infrastructure investment proposals for the Investment Committee
  • Cooperate with the private equity and infrastructure investment teams to ensure all information is available to analyse and assess a potential investment
  • Provide detailed quantitative analysis of the private equity portfolios
  • Monitor external trends in the industry and the evaluation and performance of managers in the peer group
  • In this role, you will gain exposure to investments across a wide range of sectors and geographies
Who we are looking for
  • Strong quantitative skills: experience of private equity direct investment processes, including due diligence, transaction documents, building financial models (LBO) and comparables analysis is required
  • An understanding of fund investing and manager evaluation is useful but not a prerequisite
  • Experience in analysing and researching financial markets
  • Knowledge of private equity and/or infrastructure sectors
  • Prior private equity investment experience in developed markets is preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the investment teams
  • You should have a degree and/or MBA from a top-tier university
