ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, PHILANTHROPIC DUE DILIGENCE (PDD), Resource Development (RD), to manage the intake, tracking, and notification process for RD's Philanthropic Due Diligence program, working closely with the Recording Secretary's Office (RSO), the RD Stewardship team, fundraisers, senior MIT administrators and faculty, and the MIT Gift Acceptance Committee (GAC). Will also oversee and conduct highly sensitive PDD research and provide high-quality and in-depth information and risk assessments of prospective donors.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; at least two years of research experience; supervisory experience; excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and other constituents; ability to analyze and synthesize information, particularly to evaluate and interpret financial data and recent news, identify reputational risk, interpret complex legal allegations and convictions, and communicate complex information in a easily digestible manner; excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening); ability to engage effectively with leadership, staff, and other external constituents; discretion highly sensitive and/or confidential information; ability to meet deadlines and work under time constraints; ability to take initiative and anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, and/or opportunities for change; support to MIT's commitment to advancement and diversity, equity and inclusion; and familiarity with standard references and online databases, and due diligence- specific vendors and tools.
