Barclays Capital Inc. What will you be doing? ??? On behalf of a global financial services organization, carry out senior level responsibilities with respect to providing liquidity for institutional clients by pricing inquiries and buying and selling emerging market sovereign and corporate bonds and credit default swaps. ??? Apply financial concepts and analytical skills to conduct quantitative and qualitative financial analysis on emerging market countries and corporations to provide accurate prices for clients. ??? Act as senior partner with respect to desk decision making. ??? Contribute to desk risk calls and direct positioning in LatAm investment grade and high yield sovereign and quasi sovereign entities. ??? Investigate methods for financial analysis to create mathematical models used to develop analytical tools. ??? Apply statistical techniques to support trading needs including derivative valuation, risk management, balance sheet management, and trade idea generation. ??? Share market insight and pitch trade ideas to clients. ??? Develop deep relationships with senior portfolio managers through calls, in-person meetings, and exchange of analysis. ??? Analyze, research, and monitor emerging market economies, companies, and data regarding industry and market trends to alpha generate trade ideas to clients, adhering to risk profile. ??? Research and analyze price fluctuations to provide accurate analysis while assessing trade risk. ??? Teach principles of liquidity provision, risk management, and financial analysis to junior team members. ??? Hold responsibility for annual intern program, including meeting, interviewing, and selecting candidates for rotation within team. ??? Grade performance of intern program participants and select interns to permanently join team. ??? Mentor, supervise, and prepare graduate team members in areas of credit training. What we're looking for: Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics or related mathematical field of study and at least four (4) years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Trader, Trading Analyst, or related occupation within the financial services industry. Must have attained FINRA Series 7, 63, and 57 certifications prior to attainment of role. Must have at least two (2) years of experience with each of the following required skills: Excel, VBA and MATLAB to build bond, credit default swap (CDS), and bond versus CDS basis pricing models; Leveraging relationships with mutual fund and hedge fund LatAm Credit clients; Utilizing Bloomberg Terminal to run historical and relative value analysis, send pricing runs, send bond axe sheets, and respond to electronic inquiries; Identifying and pitching trade ideas for clients to execute on including outright, curve trades, sovereign relative value, and bond vs CDS basis trades; Managing risk on a portfolio of EM credit sovereign, corporate bonds, credit default swaps and Emerging Market Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs); Emerging market economy countries, including LatAm subsets, and associated risks, including credit, interest rates, commodities, FX, equities, and geopolitics in relation to trading and pricing of trades; Leveraging broker platforms including MarketAxess, Trumid, BGC, ICAP, Tullet Prebon, GFI, Tradition CreditDeal to establish broker relationships to develop options to trade and move risk. Where will you be working? You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the fa??ade of the building.
