Title: People Movement Lead - MI Technology Grade: 14 (relevant to internal only) Location: London/New York, New York DESCRIPTION: This role will will lead the Technology People Movement function globally within Market Intelligence and be part of the People Leadership Team within MI, working in partnership with the Global People Partners across the various business lines and shared capability groups within MI. The role will be aligned firmly within Market Intelligence but will partner and collaborate with other Technology PM Leads across the Enterprise to ensure that solutions can be effectively leveraged and scaled across MI from broader within the organization. The role will also interface with the Head of Recruiting Operations and Strategic Programs within Market Intelligence to build Technology career mobility programs and leverage the Financial Services Technology Bootcamp and Internship programs from heritage IHSMarkit. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and Operationalise the Technology People Movement Team - The candidate will be responsible for shaping their organizational model and building out/aligning the Technology PM recruiters based on priority requisitions
- Build key relationships with the MI CTO but also the Business Line sub-CTO's - Relationships and navigation of stakeholders is very important for success in this role. The MI CTO and sub-CTO's needs to see this person as a true partner and should feel that this person has gravitas and credibility within the industry based on previous deep domain expertise as a Technology recruiter; ideally within the FinTech space and/or software enterprise services space in addition to Data Technology. This is critical to navigate as the technology footprint for MI has changed significantly post merger.
- Drive Engagement & Retention within the Technology People Movement Team - The PM teams have historically had many challenges and it is critical for this leader to help build morale and engagement within the broader PM team.
- Develop an effective sourcing strategy and partner the Business Line CTOs in their talent wortkorce plans)- Future focused talent pipelining is critical for this position. The business need a go forward plan on how we will bring tech talent into the organsiation and the Tech PM lead will be responsible for developing the strategy as well as a market map of where we should be going to hire our talent in the next 2-3 years and how.
- Provide inputs into other strategic initiatives that impact how Technologists are hired into MI - Whether it's inputting into location strategy based on technology market trends or helping to shape a development strategy that ensures successful onboarding and onwars development of Tech talent, this role will be pivotal in partnering and engaging with the CTO and Global People Partner for the CTO.
- Partner the Head of Recruitment Operations & Strategic Programs - with MI Technology Reporting and ensuring this feeds into the overall MI People Movement Metrics dashboard. The business should all see one consistent set of metrics and progress against requisitions for both MI Tech and Non-Tech in a single dashboard owned and maintained by Recruitment Operations
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $143,100 to $297,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. - Work closely with the SVP People and the broader People team in reporting, forecasting and analyzing global hiring data.
- Partner with Hiring Managers, People Partners and business unit leaders to define hiring forecasts.
- Educate and influence business leaders and People to change current practices, where necessary, and promote recruitment best practices globally.
- Manage predefined recruitment processes while monitoring that process to identify, recommend areas to improve and to ensure best practices at all times.
- Provide leadership and direction to technology recruiting team
- Provide knowledge of new and innovative search methodologies and tools and the ability and drive to continually explore/test/maximize sourcing strategies. This includes exploration and adoption of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning based tools at all levels of the search process (branding, engagement, sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing).
- Maintain strong understanding of S&P business and industry.
- Manage recruiting team on new and innovative techniques to ensure a positive candidate experience, for both hired and declined candidates, to reinforce the S&P brand reputation.
- Own relationship with external agencies, when required, within a controlled framework and aligned to other business areas.
- Inform necessary changes to the global SPGI policies; Immigration, Relocation, Agency, Referrals, Offer Letters. Ensure PM team is up to speed on them.
- Partner with Total Rewards, Legal, Benefits, Global Mobility and Immigration in an effective, efficient manner.
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- Prior experience recruiting for capital markets technology or information services companies preferred
- 10+ years of work experience including transformational project management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred
