As a Lead Analyst your role is key within the Surveillance group as you'll conduct contract surveillance in multiple product classes and varying crucial surveillance cases. No micromanagement here. Once you're settled into the role you'll be able to lead more complex matters with minimal supervision . We're looking for individuals who are eager to learn and enjoy the world of Market Regulation and Surveillance. This means we'd expect you to take initiative to enhance the depth & breadth of your product knowledge within & outside of their assigned contracts & to effectively cross-train others in their areas of expertise.

Assume responsibility for signing off on communications with outside clearing and member firms, reviewing the preparation work by lower level analysts for contract calls or, interviews and assisting analysts with their written work product.
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of proprietary regulatory systems, third party tools, surveillance, product and clearing rules and interpretations, a solid understanding of relevant CFTC regulations and manipulation case law and a deep understanding of their assigned markets.
Demonstrate well-versed understanding of department policies and procedures.
Develop experience in an oversight capacity which will include working closely with Analysts and Senior Analysts to develop their knowledge, skills and capabilities as well as reviewing and providing feedback on their work.
Exhibit strong capabilities in providing regulatory support services and consistently demonstrate a high level of initiative.
Participate on teams charged with executing various department projects.
What you'll need:
4+ years' experience working for an exchange, a regulatory organization, a Dealer (BD), a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) or similar organization
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to research, schedule, analyze and present findings.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently as well as in a small-team environment with minimal supervision.
MS Office: Intermediate to advanced MS Word, MS Excel.
Working knowledge of various proprietary Market Regulation systems, preferred.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an analytical field.
