About our client
We are currently partnering with a leading global investment manager, looking to add a Senior Finance Manager to their London finance team. This role will require coordination and communication with the investment, tax and legal teams alongside management of external service providers. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of alternative investment funds and a thorough understanding of accounting.
What the job involves
  • Preparing and maintaining the books and records of pooled private investment funds organized as limited partnerships and/or separate accounts
  • Accounting for and reconciliation of cash, investments and real property
  • Estimating and posting monthly closing accruals
  • Calculating income and expense allocations to each partner, including updating of distribution waterfall based on the terms of the governing documents
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to clients
  • Analysing and calculating performance metrics for partnerships/accounts as well as for each investment
  • Coordinating with funds' independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers and fund administrators
Who we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree and ACA/CPA/ACCA
  • Relevant accounting or audit experience and investment management industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of alternative investment funds, investment companies and the alternative asset management industry
  • Experience of complex multi-jurisdictional structures, ideally including Luxembourg and Singapore
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across a large organization
  • Great organizational skills and is able to handle complicated work efficiently and effectively
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively both individually and as a team
