The Fixed Income Advisory Desk is part of the Capital Markets Group within Citi Private Bank (CPB). Advisors of the desk work closely with bankers and investment counsellors in the region and provide fixed income ideas and solutions to our HNW clients. In addition, the desk also conducts credit analysis, risk management and provides necessary fixed income market update and formulates fixed income strategy. The Fixed Income Advisory desk is currently seeking an experienced advisor to join our team and contribute to our capabilities of active advisory platform.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Fixed Income Advisory, this role covers clients' activities in fixed income cash trading and structured products. The role will cover UHNW clients directly and actively provides fixed income ideas and recommendations.
This role is expected to actively develop and market to a dedicated advisory client base in line with the business's service and revenue objectives. Identify clients' needs and fixed income objectives within the context of their overall investment strategy.
Monitor clients' fixed income portfolios and conduct rigorous risk management on clients' fixed income exposures in accordance with clients' risk tolerances.
This role will be responsible for increasing client penetration across the entirety of fixed income product set.
Ensure conformity with global Firm standards of client service, regulatory, compliance, and operating model
Actively participate in regional sales and marketing forums to promote fixed income product capabilities.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
10-15 years of industry experience
Experience in sales and trading of primary bonds and flow fixed income products / Experience in delivering market commentary and analysis / Experience in both Developed and Emerging Markets
Experience in derivatives and structured products will be beneficial but not essential / Previous exposure to High Net Worth Private clients and Family Offices would be beneficial / Fluency in Mandarin would be essential
Strong fixed income market knowledge and experience / Good interpersonal and communication skills essential / Strong presentation skills essential / Strong analytical skills essential / Ability to develop strong working relationships across functional and geographical lines/ Macro VBA skills would be a plus.
Regulated role with applicable/mandatory licenses and/or qualifications.
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
CFA and/or CPWP preferred
