PIMCO is seeking a strategic and innovative marketing candidate with formidable storytelling capabilities to advance PIMCO's content marketing efforts and lead a small team.
This is a compelling global role for the right candidate to develop best in class content marketing programs designed to build brand equity, increase audience engagement and enhance client relationships in institutional and wealth management channels. This role involves working closely with multiple stakeholders, including senior management level investment professionals, as well as external agency partners, where necessary.
Define and execute an innovative and creative content marketing strategy in alignment with brand and client experience priorities, as well as firm-wide objectives, to push the boundaries on branded content and engaging platforms and deliver measurable results
Work closely with brand strategy, creative & multimedia teams to enhance the firm's storytelling capabilities and fully integrate compelling branded content assets across all platforms
Keep up to date with content-related digital best practices, emerging technologies and industry trends to drive quality/out of the box thinking on client engagement to give PIMCO a competitive edge
Use data and client insights to build an agile content marketing framework for communicating the right message, to the right audience, at the right time, in the right format, to deliver creative and highly engaging experiences
Lead the development of PIMCO's multimedia and paid media content strategy and content execution for flagship events, video, animations and paid media programs with a focus on elevating the brand & enhancing client experience
Partner with country marketing heads and their teams to ensure optimization of global branded content across a variety of channels including Web, Social, Direct Mail, Events & Paid Media
Work with Channel Marketing, Product Marketing and business stakeholders to create high quality, highly effective and targeted content programs & assets (web, product docs, email, video scripts, social posts etc.) to support the launch of new, and promotion of existing, products and services
Ensure consistency of messaging, quality control and process implementation across content marketing efforts, as well as constant application of all editorial standards (brand, tone of voice, legal and compliance requirements) and best practices for branded content
Manage sign offs with multiple stakeholders at all levels; collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across BAU, campaigns and projects to deliver quality content on tight deadlines
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or business related discipline
A proven leader with 10+ years' experience leading a Content function within global organizations
Creative storytelling and branded content experience with an excellent track record for developing and applying new ideas, approaches and methods with an entrepreneurial spirit
Extremely strong written and verbal communications skills; with demonstrable experience creating content in the financial sector. Asset management background preferred
Exceptional organizational and program management skills, including the ability to manage a large number of ongoing initiatives
Demonstrated ability to deliver on assigned responsibilities through the use of effective interpersonal and communication skills, seeking cross-functional input as well as ensuring a high level of attention to detail, and timely follow through
Experience working across, or having other exposure to, a number of geographic markets globally
Knowledge of the applicable financial regulations in the U.S beneficial
Ability to flourish in a challenging, fast-paced, professional environment with shifts in priorities as business needs dictate
Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail; ensuring that the work product is delivered completed, accurately, and on time
