The Donor Stewardship Coordinator for Endowment and Major Gift Stewardship is responsible for supporting the Donor Relations Office by administering and monitoring the scholarship/student recipient matching process to ensure donor intent is met. This includes educating scholarship recipients and recruiting their partnership with stewardship efforts and assisting with the preparation of donor reporting and stewardship efforts.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Administers and monitors the process of matching student scholarship recipients in partnership with the Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid to ensure donor intent is met. 2. Accurately and efficiently maintains student matching information by entering, updating, researching, verifying and retrieving data in university systems. 3. Assists with intricate, cross-departmental impact and financial reporting processes supported by University Advancement’s CRM system; maintains donor, scholarship recipient and scholarship fund data. 4. Assists with content development and donor report delivery in digital reporting platform. 5. Assists with creation and implementation of communication plans to notify and educate student scholarship recipients and recruits students’ partnership in donor stewardship efforts. This includes the solicitation and tracking of student photos, biographical information, thank you notes and event attendance. 6. Supports the Donor Relations Director with administering the Clark Society Endowed Scholarship program, including the selection process, marketing to and recruiting scholarship applicants and scholarship publications. 7. Further contributes to the Donor Relations mission by providing support to enhance overall stewardship of donors, including assisting with donor events, special projects and donor recognition plans, and maintaining accuracy of records in University Advancement’s CRM system. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree. • 1 year of related writing experience.
Preferred Education & Experience:
• 3 years of related experience • Experience working in donor relations, fundraising or a university setting.
• Knowledge of communication, presentation and interpersonal relationship techniques. • Knowledge of strong organizational techniques with keen attention to detail. • Knowledge of strong analytical techniques. • Knowledge of the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) • Skill in effective written and verbal communication and in drafting grammatically correct professional correspondence. • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects through to completion on a timeline. • Ability to interact with a variety of constituents. • Ability to learn navigation and data entry in a complex, enterprise-wide CRM system (Blackbaud CRM); ability to work within a content management system; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher). • Ability to manipulate and analyze data in Microsoft Excel. • Ability to manage large amounts of data and information. • Ability to work independently as well as on a team. • Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information.
