Responsible for performing analysis and reporting on Supervisory data, which may include data about an advisor's practice and the results of a supervisory review, while contributing to recommendations for the department. Develop, update and maintain a suite of reports and databases that present data from numerous systems into consolidated views that are then used by business partners in the course of their daily work. Makes process improvements and adjustments to existing reporting models. Helps to resolve problems or issues through methods of trouble shooting, as well as separate analysis. Using sound information and theory, provides management with recommended actions to resolve issues or create value for the business.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business issues, including what should be supervised or resources that can enhance supervision, by incorporating company and industry knowledge, mathematical and technological expertise, and sound analytical processes. Creates and maintains databases, Apps and reporting that will be used to support Supervision business processes. Present results of analysis and/or recommendations to business managers and utility partners. Communicate action plans and priorities to appropriate partners.
- Create and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) that will be used by business partners in the corporate office and field. Ensure accuracy and appropriate report design. Responsible for resolution to reporting issues as they arise. Reports may be of a routine nature or may be requested or run on an ad-hoc basis as part of a larger project or special business concern.
- Identify opportunities to drive process enhancements and mitigate risk. Assist with prioritization, determine the impacts of improvements on resources and tools, and create supporting materials as needed. Collaborate with peers to share best practices and incorporate efficiencies developed in other areas. Influence and drive adoption of department innovation initiatives. Be a critical, independent thinker and take the initiative to determine learning needs and identifying the needed learning materials and resources.
- Establish and maintain relationships across the organization with internal and external business partners which may include Compliance and Technology. Answers questions within business analyst area of expertise. Act as liaison among business leaders, staff and utility functions to gather information and share best practices, and to ensure initiatives are executed appropriately.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience
- Strong relationship and communication skills in working with colleagues, as well as influencing customers on recommendations and analysis results.
- Ability to articulate complex solutions in a clear, understandable manner
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical analysis and modeling, with associated technology applications
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report builder and SQL Server coding
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access design as well as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) coding
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with programs such as R and Python
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint
- Familiarity or experience with regulatory supervision, compliance, or understanding of field practices.
