The Role: Data Steward
The Team: S&P Global Market Intelligence is currently seeking a Data Steward for our real-time data within the market data domain. Data Stewards work within the content management team and advocate for their dataset to the business. This means establishing and communicating expectations about the datasets to all stakeholders, setting collection policies and priorities, being accountable for the quality of customer responsiveness, representing the datasets as the subject matter expert, collaborating with operations on integration programs and the error guarantee, and a host of other dataset related duties.

The successful candidate will work within the context of a cross-functional team aligned between steward leads, technology, product managers, operations, and commercial.
Key Roles & Responsibilities: - Organize with internal technology teams to design data ingestion, quality improvement, and front-end feeding processes
- Become an expert of the real-time pricing dataset, the downstream workflows, and applications
- Lead integration of real-time data with other content datasets
- Have oversight on reference data management and processes
- Devise front-end and back-end data audit procedures
- Deliver resolutions to client inquiries relating to any pricing data accuracy
- Create or fulfill reporting mechanisms and forums to educate and inform business stakeholders
- Work with third party vendors on data feed improvements and data inquiries
Qualifications: - At least one year applied experience in data analytics
- General understanding of at least one programming language with relevant experience
- Inclination for problem-solving and logic
- Confidence to speak the truth and think critically
- BS degree in STEM or equivalent degree
Preferred: - Master's degree
- Experience in data management in a financial market data intensive environment
- Intermediate SQL querying experience

The Location: Colorado & New York
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $49.4k - $112.8k. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
