Provide strategic and technical leadership in the design and development of projects and applications based on the ServiceNow platform and associated applications such as ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, GRC, HR and related integrations. Work closely with the business to effectively translate business strategy and objectives into technological capabilities, while collaborating with Architecture to assure technological compatibility and compliance with the architectural road map. Drive strategy and lead on- and off-shore resources, both internal and vendor provided, to ensure best in class solutions that are high quality, cost effective (on budget), sustainable, and market leading. Responsibilities - Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to a team of highly technical employees. Develop and maintain an organization of hard-working people through effective hiring, coaching and rigorous performance/talent management processes. Plan and implement a resource strategy (internal vs. vendor) based on business need, scope of work, cost, and skill requirements.
- Foster a collaborative, successful team environment where resources are empowered and accountable. Collaborate with technology leadership to understand and translate business strategy into technology strategy. Develop/drive the supporting technology strategy (including a multi-year road map).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure strategy and projects align with architectural objectives and standards. Lead all aspects of annual asset health and security assessments and effectively incorporate output into the department strategy. Provide cost and feasibility analytics to support and gain strategy approval.
- Ensure that technology delivery solutions meet business requirements and expectations regarding cost, schedule and scope. Drive and deliver operational excellence through efficient use of resources/schedules, optimization of service level agreements (SLAs), problem monitoring and resolution, and effective organizational change techniques.
- Proactively lead vendor relationships, ensuring high quality work in an efficient model and effective establishment and management of strong (SLAs). Partners closely with vendor partners to ensure all resources both internal/external are of accurate skills, Ameriprise preferred methodologies/processes are followed, and output meets quality and industry standards.
- Strategically plan and prioritize key work within planned project schedules based on enterprise business strategy, business and technology needs and overall organizational impact. Efficiently drive all design, delivery and testing work to ensure critical deadlines are met. Facilitate, advance and ensure proper resolution to key issues that may jeopardize department effectiveness or project work you're doing. Collaborate and lead all aspects of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Participate in the annual budget and financial planning process for assigned organization, technical assets and related projects. Prioritize and plan technology product solutions within the annual investment budget. Quickly cut through ambiguity to accurately forecast project costs for the business. Collaborate with involved teams across the business and with vendor partners to successfully and accurately estimate amount of work and resulting cost associated with project deliverables.
- Champion and provide input in to the continual refinement of processes, policies and standard methodologies to ensure the highest possible performance and availability of technologies. Lead teams to develop consistent technical build, implementation and support processes. Ensure projects are validated, adhere to defined standards/processes and that ongoing improvements align with IT Information Library (ITIL) principles and technology Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methods.
Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 7-10+ years experience of increasing responsibility in the delivery and operations of SaaS technology products/services.
- 3-5+ years of leadership experience, including demonstrated success in leading technical teams and executing technical projects within a quality management framework.
- 2-3+ years of experience in successfully managing budgets (departmental and/or project).
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver technical information to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications - 2-3+ years of experience in successfully running budgets (departmental and/or project).

- 2-3+ years leadership experience on the ServiceNow platform, particularly ITSM, ITOM, Service Catalog / Service Portals, CMDB.

- 2-3+ years experience with JavaScript / AngularJS JavaScript framework. Knowledge of AWS Cloud Management capabilities and ServiceNow CMP a plus. Highly effective communication skills.
