Overview Researches, develops, and implements corporate data management strategy to improve the company's advantage in the market place. Has accountability for the tactical solutions and strategic architecture for the corporation and works with the enterprise business architects, application architects, database architects and technology architects in deploying technology solutions. In addition to the individual contributor primary responsibilities shown below, may also have managerial responsibilities such as: leads recruitment efforts and manages and develops teams to maximize their collective contributions. Motivates lower level managers to maximize their contributions and encourage professional growth. May also manage, forecast, and approve operating budget within the approved plan. Manages resource allocation.Leads and guides the defining of data architecture for corporate data governance and database design principles. Ensures high quality delivery of the company's data architecture and data administrative solutions and services.Leads research, definition and implementation of corporate data architecture governance and database design disciplines for business data solutions. Defines and promotes common data architecture designs methodology, standards and practices across the enterprise.Leads process of driving more value out of the company's data asset. Provides enterprise data architecture planning, design and deployment in business solutions. Oversees and provides guidance on time to market and productive data solutions, in compliance with corporate policy.Provides highly strategic data architecture consulting services throughout the enterprise.Contributes to the achievement of Data Modeling/Warehousing objectivesMODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required15+ years of experience in data management services required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
