Start your career with Bank of Singapore as a Product Specialist, Private Markets & Alternatives
At Bank of Singapore, we aim to provide clients with institutional access and global opportunities in alternative investments across venture capital, private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets and direct investments. We are seeking an Associate Director in the Private Markets & Alternatives ("PM&A") team to source, conduct due-diligence, structure, obtain committee approvals, educate, market and provide advice to clients and provide on-going monitoring of hedge funds and liquid alternatives. As a member of the Private Markets & Alternatives team, the candidate will work closely with relationship managers to meet clients' investment objectives as well as collaborate with other departments of the Bank.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Seeks to source and offer best-in-class investments across the hedge fund universe that are highly relevant to how our clients are looking to build their portfolios
  • To analyse and screen hedge fund manager universe as well as undertake market research on various hedge fund strategies
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis along with investment due diligence on both existing as well as prospective hedge fund and liquid alternative investments
  • Present due diligence findings and recommendations to the Due Diligence Investment Committee via a comprehensive written and verbal report
  • Create, draft, and present recommendations to internal parties and clients of Bank of Singapore with respect to funds under coverage, highlighting opportunities and risks
  • Assist with education and training of internal parties, relationship managers and clients across both hedge fund strategies and portfolio construction, as well as individual funds
  • Maintenance of formal manager research documents, and associated manager research / marketing materials and data in various databases


Qualifications
  • Education to degree level in financial discipline with relevant previous fund manager research experience preferred
  • CFA/CAIA holder will be an advantage
  • 6 years' experience, preferably with background in hedge funds
  • Proven analytical capabilities, including expert-level spreadsheet / analytics skill set
  • Strong writing skills - with specific experience drafting detailed investment analyses and to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas, and processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and ability to develop familiarity and skill using PowerBI
  • Candidate should have a passion for investing and comfort presenting to various internal and external / client audiences
  • Self-starter with high level of attention to detail
  • Desire and ability to be part of a dynamic team; a strong team-player orientation is critical
