The Team:
S&P Global is a worldwide leader in credit ratings, benchmarks and analytics for the capital and commodity markets. Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Functions Audit, you will be part of the S&P Global Internal Audit team with coverage for all S&P Global divisions.
The Impact:
This function will be responsible for completing assigned audits and other special projects as commissioned under the approved S&P Global Audit Plans. In doing so, the Audit Manager is expected to gain an understanding of processes and key controls, identify control gaps and assess risks, build strong ties with the business, and overall, assist in assessing the internal control environment.

Responsibilities:
The Audit Manager is responsible for risk-based audit activities across several different business areas within the organization. As an Audit Manager in S&P Global Internal Audit you will work closely with your direct manager, Head of Corporate Functions Audit to plan and execute S&P Global Internal Audit Plans. The ideal candidate for this role must be an experienced professional with strong internal control, auditing and public accounting skills. - Plan and complete integrated audits through effective testing to risk assess processes and evaluate related control environment in accordance with department and Institute of Internal Audits and PCAOB standards.
- Prepare draft audit reports including performing root cause analysis to support and draft audit findings/control deficiencies.
- Collaborate with management to identify appropriate action plans to address the root cause and findings.
- Coordinate follow up with management on audit findings/control deficiencies and action plans to ensure timely implementation and completion.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with S&P Global Management, internal audit outsourcing and external audit firms.
- Work closely with Audit Staff and Audit Leadership Team to support audit engagements and department initiatives when time permits.
- Prioritizes and organizes time and workload to meet objectives and deadlines set by Manager
What We're Looking For: - 4+ years of experience in public accounting and/or internal audit.
- Specific knowledge of financial services regulations (SEC, FINRA, etc.) a plus
- Experience with integrated audits, electronic work papers and standard productivity tools.
- Strong academic and professional credentials including an undergraduate degree. Professional certifications preferred (CPA, CIA etc.)
- Willing to travel (domestic and international) about 20%.
- Effective communicator, both verbal and written form. Analytical thinker who employs logic and persuasion, to influence with diplomacy and tact.
- Direct experience with internal control program development and testing (design as well as operating effectiveness) to ensure appropriate focus on key risks inherent in the significant business processes.
- Working knowledge of SOX 404 front-to-back design and operating effectiveness testing Experience in development and application of risk-based auditing standards and industry best practices.
- Be a proactive, innovative, collegial team player who can absorb and integrate ideas from diverse views, create partnerships and collaborate with others.
- Ability to lead and support audits to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality; effective project management to juggle multiple assignments at the same time.
- Knowledge of internal auditing practices, procedures and principles in line with accepted international standards.
- Keen to learn and work in a changing regulatory environment comfortable with data and technology.
- Contributes to department initiatives/goals with a positive attitude.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $72,300 to $150,200. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
