Description The Senior Software Engineer engineers secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions, with minimal mentoring, to advance CMEG in the global marketplace and serve risk management needs of customers around the world.
Principal Accountabilities: ??? Develop an application that uses market data to determine the risk of financial derivatives via parallel calculations ??? Ensure application security compliance and work with DevOps teams to deploy code to multiple environments and ensure availability for clients and data stream integrity ??? Refine and refactor massive codebase written in C++ to increase functionality, maintainability, scalability, performance, and testability ??? Work with financial experts to translate complex formulae into robust and performant algorithms and code in C++, Java, and SQL with performance, debugging, and error handling in mind ??? Lead and develop skills of junior and intern developers; ensure code quality via code reviews, documentation, and design discussions
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
5+ years C++, Core Java development experience
Experience working with multithreaded applications
Ability to write clean, bug-free code that is easy to understand, and easily maintainable
Ability to write code which can satisfy low-latency & high-throughput requirements
Experience using C++, Java testing and profiling tools for performance evaluation and troubleshooting
Proficient with Spring frameworks and RESTful APIs
Strong understanding in Relational database concepts and no sql database
Strong knowledge of SQL
Experience with Linux and good understanding of OS
Experience working with open-source libraries
Experience using Confluence, JIRA, or other Atlassian Agile tools
Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication skills
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience working with financial risk management applications
