We are looking for a Lead Business Relationship Manager to work with us on our Digital Payments Services programme.
Payments products are core to DWP. We are the biggest payer in the UK, serving 22m citizens and making circa ??195bn in payments annually. We generate 1/3 of the UK's BACS traffic. We deliver money on time and in the form that best works for our citizens so that they can use it to help address their specific needs.

You will be responsible for strategic and tactical decisions on our Digital Payments Service programme. You'll be using your understanding of user needs and business goals to frame problems and set priorities. You will also be actively involved in developing the product strategy and managing the product roadmap.
We want someone understands the context of payments and banking. You'll liaise with stakeholders in Payments and across DWP to capture requirements and opportunities, find improvements and identify effective and efficient technologies.
You will maintain a high degree of visibility within the business through the attendance at business meetings and appropriate management forums, and provide communications / information for all related digital and technology activities.

You will lead, and share information on, engagements with very senior and influential stakeholders. This will inform future solutions, meet strategic demands, reduce costs, and increase efficiency in DWP and across all of government.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
Able to use specialist knowledge of Payments and Banking to determine the strategic vision and direction for IT strategy and planning with alignment to evolving business needs
Can Predict and advise on future technology changes that present opportunities for Digital
Understand and influence the payments industry strategy, investigating how to get the best of underlying services
Leverage data analytics skills to enhance business performance
Define and monitor the standards and framework appropriate to building effective partnering relationships between Digital Group, DWP Colleagues, and Industry
Manage, influence and negotiate stakeholder relationships and communicate progress and achievements, championing the product within the department.
