Play a lead SME role for core capabilities of the Global Custody (GC) business in Asia. Enhance and develop specific GC product capabilities for select ASEAN based clients
Own commercial responsibility of Singapore Global Custody book of business
Lead Singapore Global Custody client-migrations onto the new Custody platforms and optimize configuration and service model and offering to clients and managers
Oversee gap analysis and resolution of legacy offering as clients migrate onto a truly global operating model
Optimize and align the outflow models in ASEAN region for the Global Custody
Drive client and agent negotiations, bespoke agreements and client / prospect engagement
Support Sales and Business development in RFPs and client pitches
Be the key client facing GC product partner to support clients for their current and future business needs
Be responsible for core aspects of the global custody product for ASEAN based clients
Liaise closely with Operations to ensure appropriate operating and service models in place for clients and managers
Draft policies and product materials to support Sales and Coverage efforts
Support partners including Operations and Network to define and structure sub-custody services for GC
Partner with Legal, Sales, Compliance and other stakeholders to develop and review new products
Provide critical leadership to GC partners in EMEA and NAM specific to product development needs in Asia
Provide client support through participating in client meetings and sales pitches
Review of client information material reflecting product offering, Service Standards, etc.
Participate and provide thought leadership in relevant industry and working groups;
Support market advocacy and best practice initiatives.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Capabilities
Experience in securities services, custody preferred
Experience in working with institutional clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to succinctly explain market or regulatory issues to an audience (both client or internal) in simple and easy to understand manner
Confident negotiator and presenter of ideas
Ability to work to deadlines and to make decisions
Ability and desire to collaborate effectively in teams yet also work un-supervised
Good interpersonal skills
Proactive - able to work without detailed supervision and interpret and make decisions under sometimes ambiguous rules and regulations
Team and collaboration oriented with excellent attention to detail.
High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree a minimum, Post graduate / MBA studies
