The Role: S&P Global, a premier sector-focused news, and financial information provider, is looking for a Business Intelligence Lead to join our Digital Technology Services virtual team.
The Impact: You will use your technical knowledge and skills in data modelling and dashboard development to help build a set of reusable data analytic tools and dashboard to support our goal to run a metrics-driven technology organization where we leverage metrics to drive improvements in product reliability and mitigate technology risks.

The Team / The Business: Our Digital Technology Services team is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. You will work every single day with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and are able to develop a close team dynamic with coworkers from around the globe.
Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,600 - $145,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

Create reporting backend infrastructure and complex reports
Develop reporting solutions that enhance the end user experience and meet business requirements.
Develop business intelligence reports in support of the company's mission. Engage users to understand needs, gather and document requirements. Follows functional specification documents to ensure report work products meet the needs of the requester.
Able to create database queries to extract meaningful data
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), dimensional modelling and design, Analytics, Enterprise Dashboard, Key performance Indicators (KPIs), Data Quality, Master Data Management and Data governance best practices
Experience performing data analysis, data cleansing and data matching
Experience developing data quality gates for business rules
Expertise in writing complex SQL queries to validate data sources
Ability to define calculated fields
Design and build the automation required to enable automated refresh of dashboards
Ensure the design of data models and dashboards allows all data elements to work properly together
Promote the reusability of business intelligence products and associated data sources
Analyze complex problems across the data and presentation layers. Recommend and implement innovative solutions. Communicate requirements and partner with other developers to analyze complex data and process issues.
Research new solutions and make recommendations for future upgrades
Provide technical mentoring to the team and help them embrace change as new processes are introduced
Champion creative ideas and serve as a subject matter expert
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, debug, tune and optimize data load and report performance. Work closely with operational teams to optimize system performance and monitor usage.
Create and execute test scripts to ensure that reports provide accurate results and meet the requirements of the customer.
Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
Provide end user and support desk support and provide resolutions. Assist users with reporting navigation or data questions.
Experienceandproficiency in avarietyofInfrastructure provisioning and management capabilities such as:
10+ years of experience designing and developing dashboards
10+ years of experience designing and developing data models
Experience with Tableau development, APIs and connectors required
PowerBI experience preferred
Experience with SQL queries
Experience ingesting data from AWS Athena, AWS Redshift, PostgresDB
