We are looking for a Senior Supplier Manager to work with our Data transformation team you will own and manage both existing supplier relationships and work to identify and secure new suppliers.

Our DWP Digital Supplier Management Team own and manage both existing supplier relationships and work with colleagues to identify and secure new suppliers whilst ensuring policies around sourcing, procurement, finance and governance are fully met.
You will work with an array of stakeholders to ensure project teams within the Data Transformation team with the D&A Directorate have the necessary commercial agreements in place to provide vital digital services to internal and external users on a significant scale, developing solutions which improve user experience and deliver DWP's policies.
As a Senior Supplier Manager, you will manage the team through prioritisation of requirements to procurement, and work with Commercial colleagues leading on and overseeing more complex procurements across their lifecycle.
You will manage the resource and non-resource Cost Models for specific procurements, providing financial management and reporting. You will lead on stakeholder management and issue resolution.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
Your key accountabilities will be;
Lead procurement (supported by Commercial colleagues) the procurement lifecycle and subsequent activity ensuring value for money is achieved.
Plan future demand management, impacting new demand as appropriate
Lead continuous improvement activities to improve sourcing and supplier management capabilities.
Ensure robust supplier management to manage supplier performance and ensure value for money is fulfilled.
Be responsible for establishing the vacancy requirements across the Data Transformation Team ensuring that the headcount is managed accurately on the team.
Responsible for ensuring that the team undertakes all permanent and contingent labour vacancy work from street to seat including organising IT kit, access and asset management.
Complete monthly briefings / reports for the Deputy Director and FBP on spend against budget profiles. Will complete ad - hoc requests on all known and forecast spend.
Provide support to the Grade 6 and the Deputy Director on a range of Commercial and Performance related issues. Will also support on any ad - hoc request
