Fitch Ratings currently seeks Associate Directors with Leveraged Finance and/or Investment Grade debt experience to join our Corporates Business and Relationship Management (BRM) team based in New York. As part of the New Issuer and/or Banker and Private Equity teams, the candidate will work closely with a senior team of experienced finance professionals. The primary role will be assisting and developing business development opportunities for new rating mandates. The role will also involve screening for new rating opportunities and coordinating outreach based-off leveraged finance and investment grade loan/bond technicals, as well as sector-based industry research. The role will require partnering alongside the team's Senior Director/Managing Director(s) in engaging, developing and maintaining relationships with relevant Bankers, Advisors, Boutiques and Private Equity professionals.
The principal objective is to contribute to generating new Corporate rating mandates through relationship development and consistent, targeted marketing.
Responsibilities: ??? Responsible for research, development, preparation and presentation of marketing messages to external parties highlighting factors which differentiate Fitch and its published ratings and research from the competition ??? Develop and enhance existing relationships with banking and PE professionals, ultimately leading to new ratings mandates, revenue opportunities and dialogue across the leveraged loan and fixed income capital markets ??? Support contract negotiation and other duties / administration with external counterparties including preparing Engagement Letters, Confidentiality Agreements, etc. required for rating mandates ??? Liaise with other BRM colleagues in New York, San Francisco, Chicago (Banker, PE, Issuer and Investor teams), as well as EMEA, LatAm and APAC groups to coordinate firm messaging, target lists and assist in the development of relationships ??? Create, coordinate and implement outreach plans ??? Supervise/train junior members of the team
Position Requirements: ??? Minimum of 5-7 years of experience preferably in Leveraged Finance/Investment Grade from a large (top 20) bank or boutique. Open to candidates with comparable experience in Private Equity, Loan/Bond buy-side, or Corporate Treasury
