The Reporting Accountant (12-month FTC) role will be responsible for the preparation of internal and external reports of the department, including all Lloyd's regulatory returns, associated management information and other project work.
We have partnered with a leading insurance group at Lloyd's, the world's specialist insurance market. They have offices located around the world, but this role will be based in their head-office in London.
Responsible to produce Syndicate reporting to Lloyd's, comprising:
QMA, QMB, GQD, US and Canadian situs reporting.
Annual and underwriting year financial statements.
Production of analytics and commentary to support regular or ad hoc queries on, or related to, syndicate reporting.
Assist with operational aspects of the production of ledgers, including the preparation of account reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet and profit & loss items
Production of analytical tools and analytical memos supporting each one of the reports produced
Assisting in planning and production of reports and ensuring that they are produced in accordance with the relevant timetables, ensuring that there is enough time for a proper management review and understanding of the figures
Support the audit process; liaising with internal and external auditors at the highest level and ensuring that all the information required is produced and the audits are completed on time.
Exposure to the Lloyd's market as an accountant or an auditor
Experience with Lloyds of London Syndicate accounting or reporting
Qualified Finance Qualification (ACA, ACAA, CIMA)
Knowledge of Lloyd's accounting and reporting rules, UK GAAP, Companies Act
Advanced report writing skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel
