Our client is a leading Private Markets Advisory firm that works alongside some of the best performing private equity and venture capital funds in the world. They are looking to hire an ambitious individual to manage and oversee the operations function of the firm. The role is wide in scope, encompassing finance, corporate governance, HR, banking and regulatory and compliance processes. This is an ideal role for individuals from a financial services accounting and finance background.
Management of the firm's finances including preparation of management accounts, rolling current year P&L and cash forecast, preparing annual budgets and audited statutory accounts;
Reporting to the FCA quarterly and annually (or as required) to ensure the firm is compliant with its reporting requirements;
Preparation and administration of the firm's board meetings, including minuting and drafting board resolutions for enactment;
Administration of payroll and other payments, workplace pension and other staff benefits;
Oversight of expenses and VAT returns;
Management of regulatory and compliance processes, including compliance oversight and MLRO roles;
Oversight of new client onboarding procedures, including AML and KYC processes;
Co-ordinating with the firm's affiliate and subsidiary entities in the US and EU to ensure client marketing and reporting is compliant with regulations in those jurisdictions;
Advising clients from time to time on marketing requirements and restrictions in the context of the above;
Supervision of administrative professionals for office management purposes.
As the firm grows and expands its activities, there will be further opportunities to develop the role to include additional client-facing and management responsibilities.
Experience within the private equity, venture capital or investment management space is a plus
Understanding of private markets and relevant regulations
Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, etc.) is a plus
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
