A Contract Lead/Contract Manager has overall responsibility to manage contract life cycles by driving value and efficiency, while ensuring operational integrity. This role supports the procurement needs for a specific commodity within ExxonMobil. A Contract Lead/Contract Manager will own and manage agreements in a specific category. Examples include, but are not limited to: Capital Projects, Drilling & Exploration, Rigs, Upstream Operations, Catalysts & Chemicals (polymer, additives, etc.), Craft Labor (welding, painting, etc.), Efficiency Contracting (low value agreements), Equipment & Materials (valves, turbines, etc.), Corporate (facilities, IT, travel, etc.) Fuels and Lubes (base stocks, marketing, etc.), Professional & Technical Labor (temporary, consultants, etc.), & Transportation & Logistics (trucking, warehousing, rail, marine, etc.).
Job Role Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a portfolio of agreements
Process execution, full compliance with ExxonMobil controls culture
Support Procurement organization in development and implementation of category specific strategy and commercial guidance
Provide portfolio specific information to Category Specialist and other Procurement Associates
Steward tactical Client relationship for key portfolio activities
Supplier relationship management
Identify business value and agreement rationalization opportunities within the portfolio
Ensure transactional efficiency of agreements (enterprise resource planning friendly agreements)
Active contribution in Category networks and use of category specific information
Support Procurement Associate work at other sites / regions as agreed with Category Specialists
BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees
Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
A minimum of 3 years of contracting experience
A minimum of 3 years of O&G sales or procurement experience
Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Procurement / commercial functional expertise
Understanding of client business and objectives
Familiarity with/experience in procurement for the oil and gas industry
Analytical skills / understanding of total system cost concept
Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills
Knowledge of purchase to pay process including enterprise resource planning systems
