TheRole: Senior Director, ESG Portfolio Analysis, Workflow and Delivery Product Lead

The Location: Charlottesville, VA; Boston, MA; New York, NY
The Team: This is a team that sits within S&P Global's Sustainable1(S1) business, a new organization focused on ESG data, analytics and solutions; the role will interact with the S1 and SPGI's divisional ESG teams as well as with professionals within the sustainability space. We are seeking a Senior Director/VP to lead our horizontal product teams responsible for building out tools and analytics supporting our ESG datasets. As lead, you will direct teams and prioritize initiatives on behalf of Portfolio Analysis, Workflow Tools, Data Management delivery teams who will be responsible for owning, executing, and enhancing S&P Global's ESG capabilities to ensure data & analytics are integrated into delivery channels to drive maximum user adoption.

Support product strategy & vision; design for tools that connect our ESG assets with other proprietary IP across S&P Global; execute on the product roadmap, work with customers and stakeholders to document user/persona workflows, uncover market needs, partner with cross functional teams including Commercial, Research, Technology, Marketing to bring products to the market.
Manage the teams responsible for building out portfolio analysis capabilities supporting ESG datasets, integrating ESG into key workflow tools including search, screening, visualizations, dashboards, alerting, scenario models.
Coordinating and prioritizing projects for our Data Management Services delivery channels including feeds, cloud-based deliveries, and APIs.
Working closely with the vertical Product Line teams (ESG, Climate, Impact) to build out world class user experience that maximizes user adoption and facilitates clients' ESG integration into their workflows.
You will engage with client facing teams and directly with senior decision makers and end users on the client side to understand workflows, business problems to test concepts and features.
Understanding and identifying opportunities to integrate technology / platforms where synergies exist or partnership/acquisition opportunities with 3rd party technology or software providers.
You will be integrally involved with projects to integrate existing and new capabilities with the broader set of S&P Global's assets, collaborate across the divisions to maximize our positioning in the market, and provide world-class client service to our customers.
The product manager role will be responsible for supporting commercial teams by leading go-to-market planning and execution of activities including release communication, training, sales support; work with marketing on sales collateral and client communications; post launch tracking and reporting of product performance KPIs (usage, sales performance, client platform migration progress).
You will represent ESG at events & activities including client webinars, industry events, client meetings.
What We're Looking For:
12+ years of Product Management/Development experience within the financial industry
Experience with ESG market: market needs, competitive landscape, methodologies, regulatory landscape and market trends
Command respect with senior audiences both internal and external
Collaboration across global teams and with multiple functional roles including technology, data & content operations, client services
Experience working within the Agile framework
Tech savvy - understand latest technologies for desktop and feed product development
Ability to influence, negotiate and build trust (SPGI leadership and across S&P Divisions); must be strong communicator
Capable of building out and influencing a network of partners and resources from existing pool of talent in and outside ESG teams.
Presentation skills (both in spoken and written formats), e.g. strategic plan development, strong PowerPoint skills, client interaction skills, training, business / financial analysis & reporting
Lead and drive discussion to leading to successful outcomes
Product Development experience within the ESG space.
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $121,600 to $338,600. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus/a sales commission plan.
