RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Develops, maintains, and manages a critical compliance surveillance application which performs pre and post trade regulatory checks on trading activity. This application has been built on Java platform and connects to several in-house and vendor applications. Engage in whole software development lifecycle, including developing/coding, testing and maintaining the (24x7) application in a production environment. Resolve issues related to system outages, as there are more than 0.1 million trades that need to go through this application. Support and maintain databases, system host migrations, and infrastructural updates .
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Software Development Lifecycle including: interacting with end users to elicit requirement; documenting requirements and code processes; working with version control systems including SVN or GIT; and working with software release processes to deploy applications; writing, debugging, and testing Java or Python; troubleshooting real-time and batch Java and shell script applications in a high- pressure environment; and working cooperatively in a large team of developers and software designers. Must have three (3) years of experience with: database systems including relational databases including SQL Server; and trading systems and trade order and execution lifecycle .
