The Identity team is responsible for all elements of internal authentication within the DWP estate. Our portfolio, context and purpose are unique and massive, so we're at the forefront of thinking and practice for ID and authentication technology in government and in wider industry.
In Infrastructure terms this is primarily based around Active Directory/Azure AD but includes several other supporting infrastructure components, including DNS, DHCP, MIM, PKI, Windows Hello and ADFS.
We own accountability for all day-to-day operational support and all change/project related design elements. Without these services, core DWP business could not be delivered. We own the Identity roadmap and have a multi-year plan to deliver an enhanced service, with several long term pieces of work ongoing.
You'll also be part of a brilliant Infrastructure Engineering community, where you'll be a respected voice. You'll have chance to share your knowledge and skills with other engineers, as well as collaborating with a range of multidisciplinary experts as you build your own skills and grow your own career.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
3rd / 4th line knowledge of Active Directory / Azure AD / DNS / DHCP / ADFS
3rd / 4th line knowledge of PKI / Certificate Services (3rd / 4th Line)
Experience of working in a large enterprise and multi-supplier environment
Experience of implementing and working with Privileged Access Management systems and R
