A world renowned global bank are looking to recruit a French speaking Tax Operations Manager, to join their London office.
The Tax Manager will be responsible for all tax operational processes concerning the French Market where the Bank is acting as Foreign Withholding Agent.
The Tax Manager will be responsible to track and understand the new tax changes required by the French Market and provide all support and assistance in the implementation and application of those regulations.
Your key responsibilities
Manage correspondence received from the French Tax Authorities (FTA), share with client and with tax Ops team in a timely manner and ensure to maintain a very good relationship with the French Tax Authorities in the potential client requests, Market improvements or Tax Authorities issues
Assist the tax operations team in regular daily processing of reclaims, tax vouchers, reporting and payment of taxes to the FTA and provide a timely analysis and resolution of queries from Group Tax and FTA in regards to the role of withholding agent
Prepare and maintain relevant documentation in order to ensure that correct procedures are in place and followed by Tax Operations
Control/review tax documentation to ensure correct information is displayed and reported to the French Tax Authorities with accuracy
Participate to the relevant tax committees and manage client communication with the issuance of Market Communication in a timely manner
Skills and experience
You will have to demonstrate a strong tax knowledge in French operations environment (Relief at source, tax reclaim, tax vouchers, reporting)
You will demonstrate a strong operational knowledge French procedures and French reporting process with French Tax Authorities
French reader and speaker would be beneficial
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
