What does GDMO do? The Group Data Management Office (GDMO) plans, priorities and executes key data initiatives that build long-term data governance and management capabilities, to enable OCBC Group in meeting its regulatory obligations and digitalization objectives. Position Available Candidate for the role is expected to work with a dynamic team to implement data management & data quality-related initiatives (e.g., rollout of enterprise-wide data taxonomies, maintenance & implementation of solutions to facilitate data provenance & data discovery), enabling the bank to effectively leverage on data as an enterprise asset to support its strategic decision-making and actions. The function includes:
Working with relevant business units to establish additional enterprise-wide data taxonomies, to enable consistent and comprehensive data aggregation & reporting
Work closely with GDMO data management team to implement solutions to facilitate more effective data discovery by data users
Establishing data quality ("DQ") metrics, and applying DQ diagnostics methodology via scalable tools to assess quality of data by users as part of data discovery
Develop the adhoc reports based on the available reports in the data mart and data lineage metadata to meet the business nee
Implement data quality rules and optimize the rules as necessary.
Working internally with business units, data scientists and GDMO Data Managment team to support the BAU aspect the Data management, Data Quality and Data governance solution.
Qualifications Qualifications and Qualities The successful candidate will be expected to be/have:
3-5 years of related working experience, specifically in the areas of data management and quality
Prior experience in the Data lineage tool (e.g., IBM IGC, Informatica) and enterprise data cataloguing is added plus
Strong technical skills in the areas of data and database management, with experience in one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g., Python, KornShell)
Experience in the reporting tools such as Qlikview or Tableau
Ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritise/manage multiple tasks, with good problem-solving skills
Willing to listen to multiple stakeholders and forge consensus on win-win solutions to meet sound data governance and management principles
