BNY Mellon Investment Management is seeking a Head of North America Fund Governance. Responsibilities include: Executive responsibility and governance oversight of large fund complex, with emphasis on Bank Collective Investment Trust line-up. Deep knowledge of the Investment industry, various fund structures, legal and regulatory environment. The position interacts with internal parties (Legal, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, senior management, internal service providers, investment managers and bank stakeholders) and external parties (regulators, fund auditors, outside counsel). Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are critical to communicate and resolve issue across multiple areas and functions. Ability to benchmark commercial terms for service agreements and have commercial skills to negotiate and manage outsourcing relationships. Manages a specialized team responsible for supporting a product lines with complex governance efforts as they relate to standard regulatory and policy requirements and program and project development. Manages the performance of assigned staff. Sets departmental priorities and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan. Helps business areas develop and implement procedures to meet these requirements. Identifies and solves the most complex, operational and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources. Researches, develops and establishes methodologies, protocols and processes to facilitate or improve governance efforts. Determines how to operationalize functional strategy across virtual teams and stakeholders. Determines the key business drivers and factors that maximize team performance. Coaches and guides assigned staff on improving the execution of governance efforts and achievement of goals. Coordinates all teams to ensure work is achieved in a timely, efficient manner. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 15+ years of total work experience and 7+ years of management experience in financial services preferred.
