Institutional Securities Group Product Operations (ISGPO) partners closely with Sales & Trading and our Clients to process daily activities, develop and implement new products and services, as well as drive efficiency and reduce risk in our processes. ISGPO is comprised of 5 departments: Client Operations, Trading Operations, Financing & Collateral Operations, Trade & Transaction Reporting Operations (TTRO) and Change the Bank (CTB).
Trading Operations is a key partner to the Firm's institutional trading business globally providing trade and post trade support covering Fixed Income (Rates, Credit, Cash, FX, Commodities, SPG & DSP) and Equities (Equity Cash, DSP, Equity OTC, Fund Derivatives & MSET) products. Playing a meaningful role in trade verification, new product approval, reconciliation of the Firm's books & records and supporting regulatory obligations, the department offers interesting opportunities for a talented team.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
The New York Equity Trade Support Group is the point on all operational issues for the Institutional Equity Trading Desks. They communicate daily with Traders, Legal, Compliance, Controllers, and Information Technology. A senior manager in this role applies their knowledge of the Firm and financial industry along with managerial experience to oversee support lines. They manage the trading assistants (analysts, associates and managers). Senior Managers ensure that the trading desks are receiving high quality support, mitigate risk, manage the teamÃ¢s performance, and look for opportunities to increase efficiency. Daily they work with senior management on all aspects of our business Ã¢â‚¬" not only on their teams, but departmentally. Functions: Career development of managers, associates and analysts - have regular 1:1s, review goals, manage expectations and conduct performance reviews. - Management administration - hire staff, time entry sign-off and vacation approval - Hold monthly team meetings - Supervise support lines monitor work product, reconciliation sign-off and checklist monitoring - Oversee training of trading assistants maintain depth #LI-AL1
