Partner with the business to develop and implement accounting practices consistent with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other governing agencies. Manage investment management fee invoicing and related accounting and reporting.
Calculate and prepare journal entries dealing with more complex accounting functions.
Review, analyze, and resolve accounting exceptions and reconciliation issues.
Manage calculation and invoicing of management fees on various investment products.
Review and record daily cash payments settlements while adhering to strict controls.
Research and respond to inquiries from business partners related to product revenue and assets.
Participate as a subject matter expert on business projects. Participate in gathering requirements and in testing of new products.
Improve processes to ensure optimal operational efficiency while maintaining controls, integrity, and minimizing financial risks. Develop and implement process improvement initiatives that support the department goals and service levels.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
3+ years accounting experience
Ability to apply root cause analysis on medium to complex issues
Intermediate MS Excel skills
Strong understanding of systems and controls.
Strong Accounts Receivable accounting knowledge, reporting and processes.
Experience with Workday
Experience with investment management products
