Investment Management Technology provides systems development, implementation and support services for Fidelity International's global Investment Management division. We support Fund Managers, Research Analysts, Traders and other supporting groups in all of Fidelity International's locations, including London, Dublin, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
Purpose of the Role
The role is to be a member of a Strategic FX project team supporting the phased delivery of a global initiative to bring order currency exposure and cash target management, modelling, order generation and trade execution workflows onto Charles River, FIL's strategic OMS.
The role requires a skill set that encompasses the full spectrum of business analyst activities through the project life cycle. The role is both business and technology facing and will require excellent relationship management and communication skills to ensure a superior service to stakeholders and technology partners is maintained.
In addition, the candidate will need to have familiarity with the CRD application including system administration, order generation and the NMWB module as well as workflow design and system configuration. The candidate should also have experience across most or all the major asset classes specifically including currency spot, forward and NDF management and trading.
The candidate should have general business analysis skills including the defining, analysing and documenting business requirements, designing technical and workflow solutions as well as managing the delivery, testing and deployment of those solutions to delivery.
Provide input into project timelines, estimation, action plans and risk management procedures
Ensure timely completion of work packages in line with project deadline and schedule
Act as a proxy customer facilitating open communication between the internal customer and development teams
Requirements Planning and Management
Work with Project Managers and Business Sponsors to agree on the Terms of Reference for changes
Ensure that all Stakeholders have a common understanding of what is being delivered
Be self-sufficient in identifying and understanding business requirement/issues
Identify & escalate as appropriate, issues & instances where an agreed target or deadline is at risk or will not be met
Requirements Analysis and Documentation
Form part of the conversation with the business on their target operating model
Identify requirements effectively and efficiently
Produce different forms of analysis documentation to an appropriate and agreed level of depth
Deliver presentation or workshop sessions on requirements to stakeholder groups
Regularly review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes, estimates and recommendations relating to the proposed solution, to ensure they are up to date throughout the life cycle of the project
Embedding (e.g. Testing, Training, Support, Process Re-engineering etc.)
Support the Test function with knowledge that aids test scripting & execution, including handovers & walkthroughs
Work with the Test team to define defects, acceptable tolerances within various types of testing
Experience and Qualifications Required
Business Analysis experience including project management and execution methodologies
Financial Services and/or Consultancy experience, especially in the FX and/or cash management sector.
Detailed knowledge Charles River, preferably in Version 17r1 or above
Previous experience of working with the New Manager Workbench, System Configuration and Workflow Rules in Charles River
Good understanding of data and data modelling to assist with systems integration planning
Understanding of FIX and EMX applications would be advantageous but not essential.
Excellent requirements analysis and consultative skills, with a logical approach to problem solving

Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal and relationship management skills
Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment with speed and discipline
Confident working with senior management across multiple business areas
