The HSBC futures business is looking to expand its sales team. HSBC services some of the largest global institutional customers, including asset managers, hedge funds, banks and corporations. The Futures business is seeking a salesperson to execute orders on behalf of our institutional clients in futures and options across multiple asset classes (i.e. fixed income, equities, FX, commodities).
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Strong understanding of US fixed income and equity markets, preferably in futures
Work as part of the existing futures execution team to support global client order flow, both originating from the US desks or from our affiliate desks in Europe or Asia
Collaborate with the Rates, Equities and Prime businesses to identify and convert institutional clients to transact futures and options through the desk, with a strong focus on revenue growth
Provide daily individual market color and trade ideas to new and existing clients
Team player and dependable - able to back-up accounts and provide seamless coverage when desk is short-handed
Possess self-awareness and confidence to work independently and take responsibility for your own development
Support the growth of the execution capability of the business to ensure delivery of initiatives
Maintain connectivity with traders and research - facilitate client needs
Deliver fair outcomes for HSBC's customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Assist with the implementation of e-based solutions
Complete other related duties as assigned
