The Business Analytics Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Gathers operational data from various cross functional stakeholders to examine past business performance
Identifies data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
Recommends actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies
May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis

The solution lead for addressing the data needs for retail banking and wealth management business across APAC and EMEA.
Owning the data assets for retail banking and wealth management, new build and enhancement.
Will design and model the retail banking common data layers and build reporting cubes to deliver retail banking and wealth management insights in Tableau.
Working with regional business and data and analytics any partners and our offshore team to make golden source data assets, that are complete and end user ready.
Responsible for delivery of foundational common data layers (FCDL) for retail banking and wealth management - roll out FCDL across APAC & EMEA
Work with countries and AIM to define the logics for data elements in 360
Lead testing and deployment of retail / wealth management data layers
Data Definitions: - work with tech to ensure all retail banking / wealth management data in lake has dictionary and lineage ; Own the development and maintenance of data dictionaries for domain area with established framework
Own and drive the roadmap for entire suite of retail banking / wealth management KPIs, reports and dashboards across APAC & EMEA
Partner with regional business teams / DM partners to define Cubes and groom them for data content (KPI / Dimension / Seniority, time series)
Partner with tech to stage reporting cubes into big data ecosystem for consumption
Can work closely with data visualization team to model data to best deliver business questions fit for end user interrogation
Develop deep partnership with the retail banking product team and be the delivery partner for KPIs related to new initiatives and product capabilities
Req Qualifications: Skills â€¢ Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Business Administration with expertise in Business Intelligence, Big Data and/or Analytics, Predictive modeling and data manipulation/extraction from huge / complex databases using SAS / SQL/ R/ Hadoop are required â€¢ At least 5 years of banking industry experience, especially wealth management business
â€¢ Understands data modelling and why it is important
â€¢ Has has interest in how data visualization can have an impact
â€¢ Expert with SQL, hands-on, obsess with using data to drive business decisions
â€¢ Possess strong collaboration and influencing skills to effectively lead crossfunctional teams to drive deliverables, projects and engagements to completion â€¢ Have a 'Can do' and 'Get it done' attitude - do whatever necessary and take full ownership of delivery â€¢ Must have capability to clearly communicate analyses. Presentations to both technical and non-technical personnel are required to be made frequently a part of the job â€¢ Comfortable engaging with business owners, DM partners and technology teams alike and have strong experience in translating business needs into measurable outcome
